I've read a lot of negative reviews and low ratings on Canon inks, so I wanted to point out a couple of things to think about to those that read the reviews and using them before buying. You may find this same review on the different ink colours from Canon, but I don't work for Canon and I'm not a fanboy of theirs either (I prefer the digital cameras from their main rival actually!) - I simply use Canon printers and inks.

1) Some reviews are not rating the product, they are rating the delivery cost of the item. Whilst this is an important part of the purchase, I don't think it is justified to include this in the rating because Amazon provide free delivery if you spend

Review : ink volume too small
Don't recommend you buy this Epson Fox mulipack, it's a rip-off. They only have a tiny 3.5ml of ink in each cartridge. Trust me, you'll be constantly replacing them. Recommend buying Epsons 'Apple T1295' multipack instead. You get double the ink in the cartridges, and works out cheaper.

Review : Only Use Epson Ink Cartridges
I first of all purchased another brand of Ink Cartridge which it claimed was a compatible and cheaper substitute in place of the Epson T0711 cartridge. However, I was unable to get my Epson Printer to install the substitute, and it was therefore a waste of time and money. But I was able to fit the correct Epson cartridge after purchasing, and it works perfectly.

Review : Extremely disappointing!
I bought this ink from Amazon directly (not from the sellers). It arrived very quickly as always with Amazon!

HP advertises the XL to be able to print around 600 pages which is a very good amount. I did concede that I may not get 600 copies depending on what I was printing so even 300 would have been acceptable.

I print leaflets for my business and only use black and white. The leaflet itself does not use a heavy amount of black just some writing and a picture. I have only been able to print 100 copies and I have almost no ink left and need to reorder. This makes it a whopping 18 pence per page!! That is extremely expensive and well below the advertised 600 copies of print!

I am so disappointed with this as I had bought the HP F4580 as I thought I would be able to print a reasonable amount from it due to the advertisement HP had shown for their ink. Their numbers are completely off!

I would have given this a 1 star but the extra star is...

The HP 301 is a very small in cartridge containing 4-mL of ink and costs between 7-12 pounds. It says it will print "up to" 190 pages from 4 ml of ink.

Consumers beware 4-mL of ink is only 4-ml no matter how you spin it.

A canon 520 black contains 26-ml of ink and costs around 8-12 pounds.

Now every one who bought a printer that takes the hp 301 has been royal conned by HP.

now to an hp 301 colour 6-ml of ink thats right just 2-ml of yellow 2-ml of cyan and 2-ml of magenta. 2-ml is 2-ml HP no matter how one spins it.

The product however is excellent at what it dose but like a cheap battery runs out very fast.

The quality of these inks are good; however, the quantity in the cartridges is either very little or the printer is very thirsty as they last a very short time (days). It is not because the printer is printing many pages. How do I know for sure? Well, I have an Epson printer at home that uses the same cartridges and I again have the same problem. Come on Epson, stop ripping your customers off and play more fairly, give us more ink for the price!!!!
