If you have an iMac running Lion, be warned - you may be in for a frustrating time setting it up. The manual is entirely useless.
I had two hours with a very pleasant man called Jasper on the HP helpline, and we were no further forward...(you'll need to be assertive to get past the first human filter, who tells you about the website - this from a company that can't even set up its printers for a major operating system which has been out for six months...)But he had shown me enough of the browser pages that come up via print utility for me to become familiar with what should happen...
Eventually, after HP had replaced the printer, which itself developed a fault, I sorted it out via helpful people on the internet. Make sure you download the latest updates - I guess you don't really need the CD - Set it up with the USB cable, get on to your wireless router via the browser pages at system preferences - open print queue - printer setup - utility, and be sure to enable Bonjour as...
