I've read a lot of negative reviews and low ratings on Canon inks, so I wanted to point out a couple of things to think about to those that read the reviews and using them before buying. You may find this same review on the different ink colours from Canon, but I don't work for Canon and I'm not a fanboy of theirs either (I prefer the digital cameras from their main rival actually!) - I simply use Canon printers and inks.

1) Some reviews are not rating the product, they are rating the delivery cost of the item. Whilst this is an important part of the purchase, I don't think it is justified to include this in the rating because Amazon provide free delivery if you spend

Don't recommend you buy this Epson Fox mulipack, it's a rip-off. They only have a tiny 3.5ml of ink in each cartridge. Trust me, you'll be constantly replacing them. Recommend buying Epsons 'Apple T1295' multipack instead. You get double the ink in the cartridges, and works out cheaper.

Review : Only Use Epson Ink Cartridges
I first of all purchased another brand of Ink Cartridge which it claimed was a compatible and cheaper substitute in place of the Epson T0711 cartridge. However, I was unable to get my Epson Printer to install the substitute, and it was therefore a waste of time and money. But I was able to fit the correct Epson cartridge after purchasing, and it works perfectly.

Review : Extremely disappointing!
I bought this ink from Amazon directly (not from the sellers). It arrived very quickly as always with Amazon!

HP advertises the XL to be able to print around 600 pages which is a very good amount. I did concede that I may not get 600 copies depending on what I was printing so even 300 would have been acceptable.

I print leaflets for my business and only use black and white. The leaflet itself does not use a heavy amount of black just some writing and a picture. I have only been able to print 100 copies and I have almost no ink left and need to reorder. This makes it a whopping 18 pence per page!! That is extremely expensive and well below the advertised 600 copies of print!

I am so disappointed with this as I had bought the HP F4580 as I thought I would be able to print a reasonable amount from it due to the advertisement HP had shown for their ink. Their numbers are completely off!

I would have given this a 1 star but the extra star is...

The HP 301 is a very small in cartridge containing 4-mL of ink and costs between 7-12 pounds. It says it will print "up to" 190 pages from 4 ml of ink.

Consumers beware 4-mL of ink is only 4-ml no matter how you spin it.

A canon 520 black contains 26-ml of ink and costs around 8-12 pounds.

Now every one who bought a printer that takes the hp 301 has been royal conned by HP.

now to an hp 301 colour 6-ml of ink thats right just 2-ml of yellow 2-ml of cyan and 2-ml of magenta. 2-ml is 2-ml HP no matter how one spins it.

The product however is excellent at what it dose but like a cheap battery runs out very fast.

The quality of these inks are good; however, the quantity in the cartridges is either very little or the printer is very thirsty as they last a very short time (days). It is not because the printer is printing many pages. How do I know for sure? Well, I have an Epson printer at home that uses the same cartridges and I again have the same problem. When HP sell you a new printer (Deskjet 3050) they only give you starter cartridges with it which hold a very small amount of ink in them Hp 301 black 3ml and the Hp 301 colour 9ml cartridge. I was using about 3 black and 2 colour cartridge per month and it was costing me a small fortune. I later found out that Hp do higher yield versions of the 301 cartridges, which cost only a few pounds more but hold far more ink in them than the starter cartridge which I was using before. What you need is a HP 301XL on the black which hold 12mls of ink rather than the 3mls of ink that is in the 301 starter black cartridge and on the colour you should be using the HP 301XL colour cartridge which holds 11ml rather than the 9 that's in the 301 starter cartridge. I can even go one better, I now use a company called advantage online who stock the Hp 301XL originals plus do a British premium compatible 301XL bk and 301XL colour cartridge which hold 18mls black and 18mls colour. Well, after about 3 hours of trying to research which cartridge I should buy, (having read the reviews), I think I have finally got it.

There are 2 x Black 364XL cartridges and there are some unique differences. Don't be folled by the colour of the box as these do vary, however if you follow the steps below you should find the correct "XL" cartridge.

Part Number CB321EE: This cartridge is normal black. It looks thicker than the lower capacity black cartridge and is also thicker than the XL photo black. It also has a solid black "Pentagon" printed above the number. For my own printer, which is a B109n model, this is the correct one and looking above the slot where the cartidge fits into my printer, there is also a solid Black Pentagon. Also for reference, my own printer does not take seperate black cartridges for both photo and normal printing, ie, there is only a single slot for black.

For a Home Office, this is attractive. It is quite compact on a desk-top, incorporates A4 black-and-white printing, copying, scanning and fax, and there is a fairly convenient panel for selecting and operating these. At first sight the price seems reasonable.
The real drawback -- not evident in advertisements! -- is the cost of toner. In the past printers and copiers used cartridges which would print 5000 'ordinary' pages or more. This one claims to do 1600 pages, the lowest I have come across: but in what I would claim is very normal office use, I get 1250 to 1300. It is thus an expensive printer to run, unless your usage is only occasional.

I thought it was time to replace my R340, so after extensive research in tinternet, I was down to a choice of 2, the HP 6500 and the Epson BX635FWD. There were very few reviews on the Epson and the HP had quite a few negative reviews so I opted for the Epson. What a good decision, after running the installation disc to install drivers and set up/activate the wireless it was time to try out the printer. OMG, what a cracking printer, excellent colour reproduction and very fast. The scanning mode gives excellent results compared with my old Perfection 1250. Copy mode is almost as good as original document being copied. Over all, a very very good printer. Slightly on the big side but after all it is an small office printer, but not as bulky as some of the Canon models I looked at. All in all, a sound investment and a excellent price(

Review : Beware - ink cartridges very hard to come by in the UK!!
I bought this printer about 6 months ago and have no gripes about quality or speed, this printer is excellent. My one problem with this printer, and it is a huge problem for me as I need to be able to use my printer at all times, is that you simply cannot find the cartridges for this printer in any high street stores in the UK. They do not stock them. You have to either order the cartridges (this is sometimes impossible as Canon often run out and cannot supply retailers) from the store, or order them online and pay for delivery. It's very annoying and Canon claim they have no control over which inks retailers stock. So, be warned; fantastic printer, but you may be unable to find the cartridges for it.

This is a very capable printer. It connects wirelessly on your local network. After appropriate firmware upgrade and configuration (very little documentation available), you will be able to use Apple airprint and HP eprint. The cartridge is very small, and you need to expect to purchase new cartridge fairly soon.
The fax machine is a very powerful, sufficient for small business. By connecting your telephone to the phone outlet on this printer, you can combine the telephone and fax into a single line.
You can use the scanner to scan Isa to the memory card or your computer. You can scan directly from the printer, with several scanning format. There is a butane OCR software, and you can choose RTF format on the scanner.
The printing can be set to double sided. The auto feed for scanner and copier only works on single side.

I installed this printer combo using the supplied installation disc without any problems. The HPeprint facility has enabled me to print from my Samsung Galaxy S2 phone without any issues. The print quality is great and it is nice to be able to scan using wireless, unlike some other wireless printers where you have to plug in the USB cable to scan!!
