Review : A classy little machine
My HP printer did well over the years but when it broke I really wanted to improve the quality of pictures and photos as well as have a cost-effective, general small office printer. I read all the reviews and the 'expert' reviews and opted for the Pixma MG5150 - and it's great. Plus points (as hightlighted by so many others): excellent picture reproduction, cost-effective individual inks, double page printing and greyscale options to save on colours, rear tray for special paper and sizes, easy to set up, easy to follow instructions. Canon also has an excellent on-line customer services dept. Minus points: no wi-fi (I didn't need it), not pure black and white print (I think I prefer the slight greyish shade), a big shiny black dust-catching box (my office is in an attic and I keep a cloth over it when it's not in use).
Do buy extra ink to start you off, as the first catridges run out quite fast. But it is a very classy little machine.
