Review : Good stuff at the cheap, but beware of third parties
This dedicated colour printer should have scored 5 stars if the cost of ink and the mis-selling of third parties on the Amazon marketplace have not conived to ruin a great printer.

Set up and running is so easy you wonder if you have forgotten something. The quality is just keeping to Canon's tradition and still same with my now retired ip5300 save for its duplex capability. Unfortunately, the ink replacement cost is the sore point. This has now created an equally second problem of ink piracy which is why the Amazon Marketaplace is increasingly becoming a dangerous place to shop.

I bought this printer recently only to discover that the original cartridges had been replaced by the seller (Compatible Ink) with their....compatible ink!. I have no problems with this but I should have been given that choice or have both inks enclosed to enbale me see the difference and make my choice later. I have long returned and got a refund from....Amazon, after long winding email...
