My mother wanted a new PC and I decided I could build her a cheap/decent PC for very little. Entered this process with the notion that currently pretty much every available component is 'fine' and for what she wanted an SSD and boosted memory would be more benefit than a CPU (based entirely on the fact I've rarely maxed a CPU in years).
Loaded it with memory and an SSD - and found this CPU was the limiting factor in the build. Not in a way that she'd ever notice - but I know I should have paid a little more for another core/i3.
