Bought this for my first build after returning a faulty ASUS F2A85-M LE motherboard.

It is a step down chipset wise, from A85X to A75, but the difference is minimal. The full ATX allows for a load of PCI and PCI Express ports, so there is no doubt this is a great board for future upgrades. Loads of SATA ports, loads of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, HDMI, DVI, VGA, eSATA, it has pretty much everything you could want. It also has lots of fan connectors which is helpful when you have 7 of them (four connected to the motherboard). It does require and 8 pin ATX 12V connection, but using a 4 pin in the port still works.

The ASRock UEFI is brilliant, easy to overclock, change clock speeds, voltages, shared memory and boots Windows 8 in four seconds! The USB transfer is lightning too! The AXTU (ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility0 also allows you to control fan speeds, so you don't need a fan controller.

The 7.1 audio is also top quality.
