Review : Not quite up to scratch.
Was really hoping this would be the perfect NAS / media PC combo. Unfortunately its just not;
First off it should not be passively cooled. It will run at up to 40C-50C in an open environment, throw it in a case and without serious cooling (ie noisy) its going to overheat. Throw 5 disks into an ITX case and you probably wont be able to keep it from overheating fan or not.
Second the drivers are not stable under Ubuntu. XBMCBuntu, and OpenELEC will say theyre supported, but its just not the same as the ION. There are also SATA BIOS issues that will cause problems in GRUB.
