Review : Great value low-profile card - beware of the bracket though
Ordered this to retro-fit to a DELL OptiPlex 745 Desktop chassis. The main criteria being that it is low-profile, supports 5.1 surround and works on Windows 7.
The card did all of those things except that the card only comes with a full height bracket. I expected it to come with two so that I could swap it over. I had to get re-engineer the bracket with a hacksaw, vice and a pair of pliers. After that it fitted into the case just fine.
Software installation was a breeze. Used the drivers that came with Windows 7 rather than the CD that came with it. Works perfectly and sounds great.
