Review : strange results after installtion
I purchased this RAM for my PC with a AsRock motherboard K7S41GX. The motherboard states that it can only handle a max of 2GB so I purchased these 2 x 1GB modules.
The label on the actual module is " 1GB PC 2700 DIMM 333MHZ DDR (LD) "
I installed both modules but when re-booting the PC, on the initial screen it briefly flashed up 4,xxx,xxx KB ( I cant remember the full value ) before locking up without booting up to Windows XP.
I removed one module and re-booted, this time the RAM memory showed up as 2,031,616KB and the PC booted up without problems and seems faster in operation.
I have ran "speccy" and it indicated that there is 2GB fitted in the summaries but only shows 1098kb in the detail of the RAM. Also in control panel the summary shows AMD Athlon XP 1.16GHz 1.93GB of RAM
So all the summaries seem to show I have 2GB fitted but the details show 1GB - bizarre ?
Any one help out there ?
