Review : Couldn't wait to try it when it arrived
I wanted this card so that I could play tunes through an old
set of 5.1 Creative speakers using my laptop. As I said I
couldn't wait to try it when it arrived. Hooking it up to the
subwoofer and speakers was no problem at all. The software
was a bit of a pain to install. The sound that the whole
system produces is immense but things like the equaliser are
almost impossible to use. Even the volume control panel on
screen keeps disappearing. Now the remote control and the
volume control on the unit have stopped working. That's not
too much of a bind because I already have a volume control
on the system but I would like everything to be working. All
in all the card does what I bought it for but it could be so
much better.
