Judging by some of the comments made by others,it seems there was a time when these drives were dispatched with inadequate packaging.I am happy to report this is no longer the case (drive ordered from Amazon EU S.a.r.L.).Every effort had been made to ensure the drive was cushioned and remained safe in transit.I purchased a hard disk from play.com once which arrived in a jiffy bag.I nearly cried when I saw that.
All appears to be functioning perfectly as I type this.Of course,fitting a new HDD is a nerve-wracking business,by which I mean,it takes a good few weeks before you feel you can trust it.I wont be storing any mission-critical back-ups on it just yet.Regardless of the company's valiant efforts,there's no telling whether it got a knock somewhere along the line.Only time will tell and it's a risk one has to take.
